Three SpellingBee phone screens: home, a word in play, and a promotion to the medium tier

SpellingBee

Adaptive, offline-first spelling game for Android, iOS and the web

A cross-platform spelling game built from a single Angular codebase, packaged for Android and iOS with Capacitor and installable as a PWA. Each word is spoken through the device's native text-to-speech engine, and the player types what they hear.

A tier engine built on Angular Signals promotes the player after five consecutive correct answers and demotes them after three misses in the last five attempts, across about 4,800 words in three difficulty tiers. The word lists are imported into IndexedDB on first launch, so the game plays without a network connection.

The screenshots show guest mode running in an Android emulator. Account sign-in is written against Supabase but is not live in this build.
